Hello and welcome to the Cappetue Preserve! I'm proud to announce that this facility is open to the public. What is this place? Who am I? What is that gnawing on my shoe with a towel-cape? I'm glad you asked! This is a research outpost dedicated to the study and conservation of these charming creatures we've dubbed Cappetues. I am Madeline Shea- you can call me Maddie- and my husband, Conrad, and I run this place. You might see our daughter, too- she works with our domesticated pod, normally- her name is Aelia.
Ah, but you're not here for me; here, look at this beastie. This one is subject 003, nicknamed Captain Cappetue. He's a dwarf-breed, so he's not going to get much bigger than a medium-sized dog, but his sire, 001, is four feet, three inches at the shoulder and nearly twelve feet, nose-to-tail-tip. They are semi-aquatic, omnivorous, and surprisingly clever with their forelimbs. Conrad and I have been studying them for a decade now, and we've decided that we need some volunteers to help out here. The Grovelands are quite expansive, and there are a large number of cappetues that have been deemed unfit to survive in the wilds. We've captured almost two dozen of them in the past few weeks.
Six specimens are excellent for first-timers, and we'll be giving them to you based on a raffle. Help bring in more people, hand out fliers, write a blog entry, you get a ticket. 1 for a journal, 1 for a status/poll, and 1 for tagging one or more other people in a comment.

MYO AND VALENTINE EVENTS- NOW OPEN
You read that right! A dual event, for the entirety of February.
The first is the MYO event, which will allow everyone to make one (1) COMMON cappetue! If you refer people, you may add up to 3 uncommon traits! If you advertise in your status and journal, you get a ticket. Those'll go into a raffle for a special Valentine's Day Cappetue!
You -must- design and submit your own cappetue, but we are working on a couple bases that you can use, if you prefer, and I will be offering base transfers for a small fee! Send in your designs for approval to either CappetueHub (https://www.deviantart.com/cappetuehub) or WrigglingWyvern (https://www.deviantart.com/wrigglingwyvern)
All traits can be found on the Cappetue Hub and you can alw
Gift of the Cappetues
Research has shown that Cappetues love art, either of themselves or other cappetues, doing all manner of things. They even know that art has value in the economic sense! How do we know? Well, if you draw them, they'll present you with little gnawed-bone offerings, which you can then take to Madeline for study. Bring us enough of 'em, and we'll see about rewards. The bigger, more complex a drawing, the bigger gifts a Cappetue'll fork over for it. Now, lucky for you, our Aelia loves to draw, so we have a pretty good base for what they'll 'pay'. Here, here's a handy chart. Gnaw-bones is shortened to GB. Submit your art to the Artwork Folder in t
